The Other Cinema Campaign Seeks To Help UK Independent Film Labels
by encoraging the film industry and the public to help.
The Other Cinema has been setup to co-ordinate assistance for the independent film distributors impacted by the Sony DADC warehouse fire that destroyed all of the DVD stock. The three-storey, 20,000 square metre warehouse, was burned to the ground amid the rioting that has spread across London in early August.
We are currently working with the film labels affected, and discussing the best ways to help, and assessing the extent of the impact.

The Other Cinema and #LoveOtherCinema was setup by Dogwoof team to help raise awareness of the issues affecting independent film distributors caused by the riots. All of their DVD stock has gone in flames. And raise awareness of how you can help. We have been encouraged by friend’s offer of help, and support some great filmmakers and films.
There are some great films out there. We encourage you to watch as many as possible.
It is important at a tough time for independent distributors.
